Senior Business Change Project Manager

DigiB is the digital hub of Brenntag – the largest chemical distributor in the world. In this role the focus is on large, inter-country projects and a soft landing towards the business. You will collect, safeguard and implement the requirements of the business while focusing on quality, people and process. Realizing country rollouts for the implementation of new products. This is an engaging and hands-on role and you will  manage and develope the content of deliverables and each country’s organizational change. You will transfer knowledge and operation from the project team to business-as-usual. You are part of the Business Readiness team. This role means taking on a broad responsibility, working horizontally across all key audiences and phases of the rollout projects.

What you will do:

  • Ensure our business continuity within DigiB and Brenntag. Within agreed limits of time, budget, scope and quality, ensure the optimal implementation of complex projects and programs. Lead the business implementations. Uses the acquired knowledge and experience in subsequent projects, and shares gained knowledge with relevant countries. Translate digital service strategy into tactical service concepts within the projects.
  • Key stakeholder engagement – act with the business.
  • Communications – Develop and deliver communications plan in conjunction with projects and business.
  • Impact mitigation – Identify and take steps to mitigate risks and ensure changes required can be adopted without significant impact to business and customer.
  • Impact of projects – Facilitate impact of projects and identify and manage in conjunction with the business a series of activities to support this.
  • Business readiness – Ensure business processes and CXP plans are updated and aligned with any new ways of working, and the business is ready to accept the new solution.
  • Cutover – Support the cutover process, including helping to form clear and structured handover plans.
  • Coordinate program launch phase, i.e. gate activities for timely closure.
  • Organize and maintain all applicable program documentation, process and tooling, according to the latest standards.


What we expect from you:

  • High Academic level of thinking and working (Dutch WO level).
  • Knowledge of the latest methodology regarding project management.
  • 5–8 years working experience.
  •  Plan the work to achieve the stated goals. Preview the mode of operation and the necessary steps. Takes into account unforeseen events and adjusts plans if necessary.
  • Make timely decisions and take action, even on the basis of incomplete information.
  • Guides and motivates employees so that they can develop optimally.
  • Keeps track of the different elements and the whole of a question, data, project, department or organization.
  • Shows awareness of the current situation, new developments in the market, and competitors. Considers the influence of this on its own organization and responds accordingly.
  • Recognizes the needs and interests of the customer and keeps it in the trading account.
  • Explains to others through the use of direct and indirect strategies. Make use of persuasive and appealing arguments.
